To the Most Worshipful Dr. A. Ralph Slaughter, Grand Master; Sovereign Grand Inspector General, William L. Harris, Sr., Deputy of the Orient, Louisiana Council of Deliberation; Joseph Long, Jr., Imperial Deputy of Desert; and the entire Louisiana York Rite PHAmily (Companions, Heroines and Knights; Illustrious Companions, Royal Matrons and
Companion Guardians; Sir Knights and Royal Ladies, and Knights in the Garden of the Kings):
We hope and pray that all is well for you and your families and that all of you are taking great care to maintain good health during this epic COVID-19 Pandemic. As we patiently wait for our great scientists and biologists, whose hands and are under the guidance of the Great Architect of the Universe, we still have to prepare for our future. Therefore, in
interest of public safety, our health and well being and the Christian Spirit, we are hereby canceling the 2020 Louisiana York Rite Weekend and we will plan to meet in 2021 in the city of Baton Rouge, LA. All heads of houses will be notified when a date is set to discuss the forward planning of the Louisiana York Rite PHAmily.
Until this pandemic has been brought under control, any personal contact in an effort to conduct Chapter, Court; Council, Court; Commandery, or Court business is not allowed. Telephonic, email or postal communications are the best practices for the safety of our Companions, Heroines and Knights; Illustrious Companions, Royal Matrons and Companion
Guardians; Sir Knights and Royal Ladies, and Knights in the Garden of the Kings until all “stay at home orders” are lifted.
Financial matters can be handled via conference calls with guidance from the Grand body of corresponding local. Please disseminate this notice via, email, text, screen shot and or telephone call to all members of your respective bodies.
